We work with a variety of regional hardwoods sourced from local owner-operator sawmills. The Mesophytic forests of the Eastern Deciduous Forest Ecosystem are a short ways away from New York City, and we are thrilled be able to source our lumber from these amazing forests (as well as the occasional ornamental tree whose time has come). A few our favorites woods are: and Black Walnut (Juglans nigra). Sugar Maple (Acer saccharum), Beech (Fagus grandifolia), Basswood (Tilia americana), Sassafras (Sassafras albidum), Butternut (Juglans_cinerea), Black Cherry (Prunus serotina), White Ash (Fraxinus americana), and White Oak (Quercus alba).
